    • Gerard Mordillat, French novelist, filmmaker and television director was born in 1949. Known for his Marquise (1997), En compagnie d'Antonin Artaud (1993) and Vive la sociale! (1983), he is also a member of the select club des Papous dans lat tete de France-Culture. In his 2001 collaboration with American-born artist Bob Meyer, Mordillat published Madame Gore, a humorous and irreverent take on the despairs and misadventures of ''a woman of a certain age.''
